We are aware that some of our research papers raise difficult topics and that individuals may want to seek further support after reading them. Below, we have provided a list of sexual health and wellbeing resources that are there to support you if you need them.
Chalmers Sexual Health Centre
Chalmers is the specialist sexual health service for NHS Lothian. They provide a range of sexual, reproductive and emotional health services, including contraception advice and supplies, emergency contraception, STI testing and treatment, and abortion services.

Edinburgh Rape Crisis Centre
Edinburgh Rape Crisis Centre offers free and confidential emotional and practical support, information and advocacy to women, all members of the trans community, non-binary people and young people aged 12-18 in Edinburgh, East and Midlothian, who have experienced sexual violence at any time in their lives.

The Advice Place
The Advice Place provides a team of professionally trained advisors to support students at the University of Edinburgh. They also offer access to free condoms at their Potterrow office.
